walks in Minsk parks
Posted: 25/09/2011 Filed under: Belarus | Tags: benches, Minsk, parks Leave a comment »Yanka Kupala park is central and on Nezavisimosti avenue, though perhaps not as central as some other parks in Minsk. It dates from the 1960s and is named after a poet (whose statue is there).





Created in 1945, Victory park is a little to the northwest, close to the Yubileiny, Planeta, Belarus, Victoria and probably other hotels. It’s big. True, I went there during a weekday morning, but I think I had an entire island there to myself.
