walks in Minsk parks

Yanka Kupala park is central and on Nezavisimosti avenue, though perhaps not as central as some other parks in Minsk. It dates from the 1960s and is named after a poet (whose statue is there).

Created in 1945, Victory park is a little to the northwest, close to the Yubileiny, Planeta, Belarus, Victoria and probably other hotels. It’s big. True, I went there during a weekday morning, but I think I had an entire island there to myself.
